Your rights
Privacy, terms and safety
Written to be read, not to be skipped.
What we hold
The health information you enter or allow to be entered: readings, meals, movement, medicines, conditions, appointments, documents you upload, and records added by clinicians you gave access to. We also hold your contact details and a permanent log of every access to your record.
Who can see it
You, always. Anyone else only after you approve them, for the purpose they stated, at the level you chose, for a limited time — or, in a genuine emergency, a verified clinician whose access is time-limited, notified to you and recorded permanently.
Your rights
You can see everything held about you, correct it, export it, revoke any access immediately, turn off anonymous research contribution, and ask for your account to be closed. Clinical entries made by a professional stay in the record for safety, but you can add your own correction beside them.
Anonymous statistics
Only if you allow it. Statistics contain no name, phone number, address or identifier, and groups smaller than five people are hidden entirely so no one can be identified by elimination.
Safety and limits
Healthy Ghana is a health support tool, not a medical device and not a doctor. Attention levels are decision support based on published thresholds; they are not a diagnosis. AI features explain and educate — they never diagnose, prescribe, or change treatment. Food and activity estimates are approximations.
When to seek care immediately
Chest pain, difficulty breathing, weakness on one side of the body, a sudden severe headache, fits, heavy bleeding, severe abdominal pain in pregnancy, reduced baby movements, or a child who is unusually drowsy or not feeding — go to the nearest health facility now. Do not wait for the app.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is enforced at the database level so a mistake in one screen cannot expose another person's record, one-time codes are stored only as hashes, and every access is written to an append-only log.
